An Interview With Pat Ogden, Ph.D
Mental health approaches, including trauma therapies, have historically overlooked the effect of systemic racism on all of us. Our mission is to support clinicians in developing trauma treatment approaches that integrate attention to systemic racism from a proactive position. With this in mind, we are committed to reorganizing our procedural beliefs and learning in part by reaching out to leaders of trauma treatment and training organizations for their collaborative guidance along this journey.
In this featured interview, Uncovering Implicit Biases, Pat Ogden, Ph.D, (founder and director of the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute) shares the most essential commitment for White trauma therapists to embark upon towards establishing an anti-racist clinical practice.
