of Complex Trauma & Dissociation

March 12, 2022 at 9am-4:30pm

Via Zoom Meeting

Coordinator:  Sandy Dixon, PsyD

This year's program begins with our Keynote Address from 9:00- 12:30. The keynote will give an expansive overview of dissociation and the reasons it is a fundamental aspect of the experience of living with complex trauma. The keynote is geared to newer clinicians or seasoned clinicians and other professionals who seek to learn more about dissociation, and you will leave this seminar with greater knowledge of what dissociation actually is, how to correctly recognize dissociative symptomatology in your offices, and begin to discern the differing levels of dissociation and unique clinical presentations.  After a lunch break, attendees can choose from a collection of afternoon workshops for a further learning in specific areas of trauma treatment and dissociation. Workshop topics include: addressing the intersection of race and culture through the therapeutic alliance within trauma treatment, tools for assessing and treating dissociation, exploring the role of spirituality within trauma treatment, and tools for embodiment work with youth and families. Our list of afternoon workshops can be found below:
