NESTTD's Half-Day Basic Workshop on Dissociation

Identifying and Treating Dissociative Symptoms in Clients with Complex Trauma Histories

Many clients with histories of complicated trauma are challenged by the presence of dissociative symptoms. This workshop is designed to deepen clinician’s skills in recognizing symptoms of dissociation that often intrude on treatment progress. Participants will learn how to help clients both understand their symptoms and transform them into coping skills that lead to greater emotional stability and to evolving capacities to process their trauma.

The workshop has been arranged by NESTTD’s Community Outreach Committee. It is offered in recognition of the prevalence of dissociation in most chronic trauma survivors seen by agency and private practice clinicians, and of the limited training opportunities for introducing and working with dissociation in their current treatment relationships.

Continuing Education Units will be available for purchase on site for $10. Cash or check only.
